  • Overview

    Correct Care Solutions is seeking a dynamic and strategically-minded Proposal Manager to join our team.  Our Proposal Manager will be responsible for writing compelling proposal materials in response to RFP, RFQ, RFI and other requests for new business in the private and public sector. This role includes the coordination of activities from the bid/no bid decision through to post-submission follow-up.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree/college diploma in Journalism, Marketing, English, Communications or a related field.

    Experience:

    • Ideally, a working knowledge of the health industry, governmental contracts, or corrections.
    • 5 or more years of experience working in a professional environment.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience working on RFP and related new business proposals and presentations within a related industry.
    • Excellent writing skills and amazing attention to detail.
    • OCD tendencies are embraced.
    • Effective and excellent verbal communication skills along with an ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of an organization including senior and executive management.
    • Excellent project management and time management skills.
    • Exceptional work ethic and an ability to work not only independently but also within a collaborative team environment.
    • Ability to gracefully work under pressure with tight and competing deadlines.
    • Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook).

    Licenses/Certifications:

    • None required.

    Responsibilities

    1. Drives the proposal development process with the Business Development Director from receipt of the opportunity to delivery of the final product. 
    2. Works closely with cross-functional teams including Business Development and other departments to gather information needed for the development of a proposal.
    3. Sets and meets deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval; coordinating requirements with all contributors; and contributing deliverable status information to review meetings.
    4. Maintains and develops proposal content for ongoing use by the team.
    5. Edits and proofreads proposals and other relevant materials ensuring accuracy, clarity, readability.
    6. Ensures all proposals align with standards, branding guidelines and company policies.
    7. Tracks proposal activity and follow up.
    8. Supports other departmental writing needs as required.
    9. Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.
    10. Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.
    11. Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.
    12. Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.
    13. Perform other duties as assigned.
