    Our Administrative Assistant will complete various office clerical assignments.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • High school diploma or G.E.D.

    Experience:

    • General knowledge of office practices and procedures
    • Clinical or medical terminology background is preferred
    • Computer skills with an emphasis on spreadsheets and word processing
    • Formal secretarial training and medical terminology knowledge desirable
    • Understanding of the system or a correctional setting background preferred

    Licenses/Certifications:

    • None required

    Responsibilities

    1. Responsible for coordinating/comprehensively scheduling meetings including finalizing presentations and setting up projectors/media, etc., typing reports and correspondence, transcribing written notes, maintaining records and files, answering phones, receiving, sorting, and distributing mail, arranging schedules, and other various clerical duties as needed.
    2. Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
    3. Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.
    4. Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.
    5. Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.
    6. Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.
    7. Post orders, if applicable, per site contract.
    8. Perform other duties as assigned.
